Vacation scheme - London

A vacation scheme is a great introduction to being a trainee at Herbert Smith. Students from the UK and around the world in their penultimate or final year at university and all graduates are encouraged to apply. We also accept applications from second year students of four year degrees if their third year is spent abroad.

During your placement you’ll sit in the same room as a partner or associate and be given real work for real clients. You’ll be involved in workshops and presentations that provide an insight into the breadth of practice areas in the firm.

We’ll arrange formal and informal social events for you to meet others on the vacation scheme, as well as partners, associates and trainees. By the end of the scheme you should have a good idea of whether a career in law is right for you – and whether that career might be at Herbert Smith. We will pay you £350 per week during the scheme and will provide advice on sourcing accommodation.
