Living in Moscow
Living and working in Moscow
The working atmosphere is exceptionally friendly and supportive. Assistants and trainees alike enjoy a high level of client contact and responsibility. Russian clients on the whole expect a greater level of personal care and attention from their professional advisors, requiring not only technical expertise but stamina.
Living in Moscow is similar to living in any large European city, except the weather can be freezing – although the buildings are well heated and winter clothes are widely available and cheap. The public transport system is good, and the Metro particularly impressive with its Soviet mosaics and sculptures.
There are many lively shops, bars and restaurants, which open later into the night. There are many excellent restaurants, and it’s worthwhile seeking out the smaller ones.
Moscow is famed for its culture and history - and rightly so. Its galleries, theatres, museums, churches and monasteries are magnificent, not to mention architecture like the Red Square and the Kremlin.
Given the vibrancy of the Russian financial market, Moscow is an exciting place to work and live, offering cutting-edge deals and a highly sophisticated cultural and social environment.
