“As one of the US partners at Herbert Smith, I'm very much involved in cross-border work - every transaction we work on necessarily involves more than one jurisdiction, since the deals involve non-US companies accessing the US investor pool in one way or another.

My focus is on helping our investment banking and corporate clients in complying with US securities laws. The US team has doubled in size since I joined in 2001, and we've had the opportunity to work on a number of very interesting transactions including the Standard Life IPO, the QinetiQ privatisation, the TomTom IPO, the Tele Atlas IPO and the Marfin equity offering.”
